Five Ways To Get Better At Life.

Subject: How To Become Better.

Most people don’t win.

That’s how life works.

80% will get the scraps. And 20% will get exactly what they want.

Why?

Well the 20% who get exactly what they want - take exactly what they want. They develop the intelligence required. They put in the work. They don’t do what the 80% do.

And what do the 80% do?

Well, nothing.

They just work jobs, forever. Trading their time for money. They watch television for hours each day - instead of studying and getting smarter. They blow all their dough on bullshit - instead of saving and investing in the future. They live for the weekend..and their life resembles a prison sentence, more so than an actual life.

People who live like that end up as resources for the people who are smarter and decide that they will make life give them what they want.

Think about that. And think about it deeply.

In the modern world, the average individuals - the lazy, complacent and unaware, become resources for the exceptional individuals. And the average individuals are then used to further the interests of the exceptional individuals, in exchange for very small pieces of the pie called pay cheques.

This is not bad. And this is not evil. This is just Natural Selection operating in a modern environment.

With awareness of the above - you can either shape your world as you see fit.

Or.

You can be used by someone else to shape their world, as they see fit.

That choice is yours.

Here’s a quote from Will Durant - a great and wise man:

So the first biological lesson of history is that life is competition. Competition is not only the life of trade, it is the trade of life— peaceful when food abounds, violent when the mouths outrun the food. Animals eat one another without qualm; civilised men consume one another by due process of law. Co-operation is real, and increases with social development, but mostly because it is a tool and form of competition; we co-operate in our group—our family, community, club, church, party, “race,” or nation—in order to strengthen our group in its competition with other groups.

Life’s a competition - accept it.

And it’s a competition most people won’t win.

They will lose and they will become resources for the exceptional individuals.

But you can improve your chances of winning.

You can build a better life.

You can become better.

You can be the exceptional individual.

It’s all a matter of choice.

It is all in the mind.

And before all else - you need to look in the mirror and take a long hard look at the man looking back at you.

You need to understand that he, and the life he has, are things YOU have created.

He is not what anyone or any circumstance has created.

He is what you have chosen to become.

And his life is the life you have chosen to live.

If you don’t like what you see, then simply do something about it.

Here are five somethings you can start with:

1) Lift Weights

Transforming yourself starts with transforming your physical body.

You cannot feel good, look good and be the best you can be if you are not in good shape.

And if you look like squashed dogshit you are going to feel like squashed dogshit - do you understand?

You feel how you look. So look fucking good

Building a body that is strong and looks good will give you a huge confidence boost and a huge health boost.

You will have higher testosterone levels, your immune system will improve, you will sleep better and it will even make you smarter.

There are many benefits to lifting weights. And I could not imagine life without the gym. It provides a place to go where you can lose yourself, get a sweat on and get rid of all the stress you have inside you.

Whenever I am anxious about life and I have problems to solve - I hit the gym. And when I finish my session, all that remains is a clear mind. No anxiety. No confusion. Just focus. That’s what the gym does for me.

It does not matter how out of shape and weak you are. All that matters is starting and never stopping. If you just start and never stop - eventually you can look like superman.

You will not be judged in the gym and you should not care what people think anyway. The people who are already in the gym and doing the work will most likely encourage you because you are off your ass and actually doing something.

Through the gym, you can build something to be proud of. You can build self-confidence, strength and discipline.

You can change your life through the gym.

So get in there. And get your ass to work.

2) Eat Real Food

If you are eating processed foods and never cooking meals from scratch - you will not feel good and you will be wasting a lot of money also.

It is impossible to feel good, be healthy and have the energy required to be a winner if you have a bad diet.

You will also destroy your health and end up looking like shit.

Take a look at the body of the average man today.

It does not look good – it looks bad.

When you eat how you are told you are supposed to eat by the mainstream media - you will become sick and weak.

What you need to eat if you want strength and power, is real food.

Beef. Eggs. Bacon. Potatoes. Butter. Bread. Milk. Cheese. Chicken. Pork.

You need foods full of good fats and real nutrients that will help your body become strong.

If you are working hard in the gym, your body will crave real food anyway - so give it what it needs and watch your body grow strong.

3) Educate Yourself

A healthy body is the foundation.  But the mind is the key - it is the key to everything. To becoming what you could be.

You must forget everything you have been told by normal people. And you must forget everything you were taught in school. It is all bullshit designed to turn you into a slave and remove your ability to really think.

To become the master of your destiny, you need to embrace Self Education - you need to study the world around you. Pay attention and learn how everything works. Figure out how to figure out people. Learn about money. Teach yourself how to think.

And read. Lots.

Fill your mind with the right knowledge because the right knowledge, actively applied to your life - is real power. It will open your eyes to the workings of the world around you and more importantly, if you read the right books - it will open your eyes to the workings of your self.

Right now, on the internet and in bookstores - there are books that contain knowledge which could change your entire world. Knowledge that if you consumed - would open your eyes to a new way of living. A new perspective. And a new angle to attack life from.

Here’s an obvious little secret: if you fill your mind with the thoughts of geniuses stored in the books written by them - you will begin to see the world as they saw the world and you will no longer be the same old you.

So why waste your time playing video games and watching television when you can fill your mind with the knowledge and experience of geniuses?

Throw away that garbage. Start studying yourself and the world instead.

Read good books. Reflect on yourself by thinking about what you do and what you think. Find successful people to learn from. And constantly expand your mind.

It isn’t optional.

4) Develop Self Discipline

You will not transform yourself if you do not have self-discipline.

Motivation is the spark that starts the fire. But self-discipline is what keeps it going when it wants to go out.

Discipline is crucial.

And it is not easy to maintain it.

Why?

Because discipline is not easy to maintain - that’s the simple truth.

It’s a psychological muscle that can be strengthened and the more you use it - the easier it becomes to maintain it.

Discipline is the force that holds everything else together. It is the foundation.

When someone puts unhealthy food in front of your face or you don’t really feel like working out – discipline forces you to do it because discipline only cares about what is going to make you better.

It does not care about how you feel **or how bad your day was.

It only cares about the work that matters.** It only cares about what will move you forward. It is devoted to nothing more than holding the line between strength and weakness.

It gets you out of bed to train when you don’t want to get out of bed to train.

It keeps you focused.

It helps you make smart decisions. And it prevents mistakes.

So how do you develop discipline?

Routine and discipline. That’s how.

You have to simply apply it.

Start by waking up early and working out or reading every morning.

Over time these routines will become habits.

Lifting weights, eating healthy, reading and becoming better will not be a routine that you force yourself to do - it will simply be your life.

You will do it without even thinking about it.

5) Have a Mission

Every man and woman needs a mission - that’s that.

You cannot float through life without any purpose. You cannot exist, happily, without something to work towards.

You can go be a hippy and live in the woods doing nothing - but you will still need a purpose each day.

One of the fundamentals of being happy is simply having something to work towards.

You need goals and you need a vision for how you want your life to look because these things give you the magic ingredient for enduring hard times – they give you hope.

When you have a goal and a vision, you can lift yourself out of the moment and picture where you will be if you stay focused and keep working.

If you want a goal and a vision that truly excites you and fills you with joy - you need to ignore what everyone tells you to do and you need to follow your gut instinct.

When you do what your gut instinct wants you to do, you will have unlimited energy and focus because you are on your path. And you are doing what the great and mysterious Universe has asked you to do. You will be so excited to reach your goal that you will want to work all the time. And the petty little things that used to worry you will no longer bother you.

When you don’t do what you gut instinct wants - fatigue, anxiety, disappointment, sadness and boredom will follow as punishment for ignoring the call from within. Life will lose it’s enchantment. And you will know deep down you’re doing it wrong.

The gut knows exactly what you want so you need to listen to it.

Even if what your gut tells you to do is crazy and the opposite of what everyone else thinks - you must listen to it because it is the soul of the world speaking to you.

When you listen to what other people want you to do and you do that instead, you have to motivate yourself all the time and the days just drag on forever. You turn yourself into a slave. And you become a prisoner of your own mind - trapped by the illusion of fear.

So trust yourself completely. And let your vision come forth from deep within.

It will give you purpose. And purpose will give your life coherence - it will be your candle in the darkness.

Without a purpose in your life. And without a candle in the darkness. You will get lost in that darkness and you will end up in a place you don’t want to be.

Until next time.
