Subject: Fuck Your Excuses.
Excuses.
These are the little devils that stand between you and everything you want.
You make plenty of them, I’m sure.
We all do.
However, the people who sit down and question their excuses are the people who move forward in life and get closer to their goals.
Why?
When you sit down and think about all the excuses you make – you discover something very interesting.
They are all complete bullshit.
They are lies.
They are just WEAKNESS.
They are just LAZINESS.
That’s all they are.
Excuses are the reasons we all come up with, for why we can’t do what we know we should do.
They are the reasons we use to avoid doing the things, that if completed, would move us closer to who we want to become and what we want to create.
This is also known as resistance.
Resistance is an internal force that DOES NOT want you to succeed.
It’s an evil demon that lurks within everyone.
Resistance wants to see your dreams die, it wants to see you never become who you have the potential to be and it wants you to FAIL.
It’s this invisible force that gets in our way every single time we try to do something important.
Whenever the work needs to be done, resistance jumps right up and stands in front of us, blocking the path forward.
It is what you do when resistance gets in your face, that determines who you will become and what you will accomplish.
Most people just go with the excuses, because it’s easy.
They allow those little devils to master their mind.
They allow resistance to master their mind.
People mastered by resistance will sound like this:
“I’m too tired to work out today”
“I had a big day and I can’t be bothered”
“I’m just going to stay in bed instead of getting up”
“It’s too hard”
“It’s taking too long”
“I’m really not feeling it”
Look closely at these excuses.
What do you see?
They are all complete bullshit.
They are resistance winning the battle and making you weaker.
This is why you don’t allow them into your mind to begin with - you shut them out and you do what needs to be done.
As soon as you let excuses into your mind, they will poison you and make you rationalise your way out of doing the work.
So, slam the door on those motherfuckers and keep them out.
There is nothing stopping you from doing the work that needs to be done.
YOU are the only thing stopping you from doing the work that needs to be done.
You and your bullshit excuses.
You make all these excuses.
You don’t stick to your commitments.
Then you complain when you don’t meet your goals?
How much sense does that make?
None.
Oh You’re Tired?
Do the work.
Oh You Had a Bad Day?
Hit the gym harder than on a good day.
Oh You Want Those Delicious Cupcakes?
No. Stick to your fucking diet.
You decided to change yourself for a reason.
You decided to start working out for a reason.
You decided to be more.
Just because you decided though, does not guarantee anything.
Consistently doing the work is the only thing that guarantees something.
Don’t put your money on how great you think you are.
Put your money on how well you can do the work, when the work is the last thing you want to do.
This is what will tell you if you really want it or not - how well you do the work on the bad days.
The Real Dealer works twice as hard on the bad days.
Why?
He’s a Real Dealer, that’s why.
Real Dealers don’t make excuses - they make progress.
They do THE WORK.
You must do the work.
You must kill your excuses and you must DO THE WORK.
It is that simple - there is nothing else.
You can search every corner of the globe for the magic pill that makes you super productive.
You can do your zen master detoxes and drink your super-food smoothies all day long.
None of that means a fucking thing, if you do not have the ability to forget how you feel and simply do what needs to be done.
Put your smoothie down, throw the magic pills away and just go do what you should be doing, instead of preparing to do it.
When you pick the RIGHT THING to work towards, you don’t make excuses anymore because you know doing the work is most important.
You know it is what YOU want.
You’re no longer living to please others.
You are doing exactly what you want and that’s the key to getting ahead.
You’re fuelled from a fire that burns inside you and even though you still make excuses - you now ignore them and you do your work regardless of the external circumstances.
That’s what happens when you DO YOU.
That’s why you must DO YOU.
When you DO YOU, how you feel does not matter anymore - your work is all that matters.
How bad your day was does not matter - the work is all that matters.
You get your ass in that gym.
You get your ass to your desk.
You do your work and you stop bullshitting yourself about why you cannot do it.
Eventually it all pays off.
Those days when you are not really feeling it.
When the motivation is not there, when you are tired and you are doubting yourself.
Those days are the days where doing the work is more important than anything else.
Why?
Because when you do the work on those days, you build strength and discipline.
You build confidence.
You learn that you can get shit done regardless of how you feel.
This snowballs over time and becomes a habit.
When this becomes a habit - you become unstoppable.
You never miss a workout, you never cheat on your diet, you never deviate from the schedule and you get the work done.
You get stronger and leaner and healthier.
Your finances improve and you have more money.
People respect you more.
YOU respect YOU more.
Everything starts to grow and your life gets better in every way – because you are getting better in every way.
This is what happens when you punch your excuses in the fucking mouth.
This is the outcome of doing the work regardless of how you feel.
You become a beast.
You learn that how you feel does not matter at all.
Your work and your goals are more important than how you feel.
So, you now put them before how you feel.
When you hear your mind making excuses, you cut the head off those excuses and you shut them down before they even have a chance.
You’re an unstoppable machine and you don’t make excuses anymore.
You do your work regardless of what day it is.
You do your work regardless of what is happening in your life.
Sick? Get the work done.
Broke your leg? Get the work done.
Homeless? Get the work done.
Show up every single day and give it everything you’ve got - that’s how you win.
This is how you get what you want because this is how it works.
It is simple.
It is all extremely simple.
You just have to FOLLOW THROUGH.
When you decide to do something with your life and you set goals – you only see what is directly in front of you.
You CANNOT see all the obstacles, the problems and the bad days that wait for you in the future.
All those things are put between you and what you want as a test.
It is the universe testing you.
You need to understand this because if you do not understand this, you will fail the test.
The more important something is, the harder it will be and the more you will be tested.
Shit is hard for a fucking reason.
Most people are average for a reason.
That reason is very simple.
Not everyone is meant to be a winner.
If everyone was a winner then nobody would be a winner.
That’s the way of the world and if you want to argue with that - you are a retard.
You have winners and you have losers.
Anyone can choose to become a winner and anyone can start winning – but very few people will.
Why?
With the decision to become a winner, also comes the obligation to face hardship, pain and difficulty as you work towards what you want to achieve.
Most people are not willing to go through that and they just want to stay comfortable - that’s perfectly fine.
Excuses get most people, but a small minority keep going and they are the ones you see at the top.
They are the people you look at and want to be like.
Well guess what?
If you want to be like them, then you need to suffer like they did to achieve what they have.
You need to overcome your bullshit excuses.
You need to do the work every day.
If you are like most people, all you ever see is the result.
You don’t see the process.
You don’t see the hours that went into the result – you only see the fucking result.
So, you need to ask yourself how willing you are.
Are you willing to do the work?
Are you willing to do those extra reps and sets?
Are you willing to always go the extra mile?
Are you willing to sacrifice what you want right now, for what you could have in the future?
That is all it comes down to - SACRIFICE.
You only want to eat the icing on the cake.
You don’t want to eat the rest.
Guess what?
It does not work that way.
The icing comes last in life - all the rest comes first.
If you eat the icing first, you will fuck your life up.
Winning takes sacrifice and you cannot get everything all at once.
You can have everything eventually, but you cannot have it all at the same time without doing the work.
You do the work. You create the results.
Then you eventually get everything, if you do it right.
You don’t get a free pass through the hard work.
There is no easy way out boy.
There is one way and one way only – straight down that road called hard work and discipline.
Next time you go to the gym, watch how hard the fittest people train.
Next time you see someone filthy rich, ask them how hard they worked to get what they have.
Stop focusing on the result and focus on the process that creates the result.
The result is a reward.
The process is what really matters because the process is what teaches you the lessons.
The process is what builds character and turns you into a successful person.
Without the process, you have fucking nothing.
Without the process, you have exactly what you get when you spoil children and never make them work for anything.
What’s that?
A lazy and entitled lump of dogshit.
The process is the anvil upon which you are forged into a winner.
So, embrace the process and shut that big mouth.
No more excuses.
No more bullshit stories about why you can’t follow through.
No more reasons why you can’t do what you really want to do.
No more being less than what you have the potential to be, because when you are less than what you have the potential to be - you know it and it makes you miserable deep down.
Build your discipline.
Grit your teeth.
Do the work and make it happen.
Until Next Time.
